I saw some other people say that they were totally blindsided by the difficulty and wish they were placed in less intense classes. If you just did your high school’s program, it might not have been rigorous enough. That being said, I remember my mpt was primarily precalc so if you’re studying keep that in mind.Īs far as difficulty- If you took the APs/IBs and did well, then you know what they’re going to teach. I already knew most of it and did pretty well (good refresher for stats and other classes) and I’m really glad I studied instead of just letting myself be placed in a lower level(proj calc 1 is p much calc ab and proj calc 2 is p much calc bc). Brushing up the few days before the test meant I could just barely place in project based calc 2. I took calc ab and bc in hs and did well in both, but my senior year I didn’t so anything calc related and forgot a lot. A lot of people are saying not to study for it- if you think you’ll be on the border of the next grade bracket though, totally go ham studying.
